Through the first 19 games of the 2022-23 NBA season, the New York Knicks have emerged as a surprising powerhouse in shooting efficiency. The team currently ranks second in the league in both field goal percentage (50.1%) and three-point percentage (42.2%).

The Knicks' dominance in field goal percentage is a testament to their balanced scoring attack. All five of the team's starters are shooting above 50% from the field, led by RJ Barrett (52.8%) and Jalen Brunson (51.9%).

"We're moving the ball well and finding the open man," said coach Tom Thibodeau. "Our guys are making the extra pass and taking high-percentage shots."

The Knicks' three-point shooting has been equally impressive. Evan Fournier (48.6%), Quentin Grimes (46.2%), and Brunson (42.9%) have all been lights-out from beyond the arc.

"We have a lot of guys who can shoot the ball," said Brunson. "We trust each other, and we're not afraid to let it fly."

The Knicks' shooting efficiency has been a major factor in their strong 13-6 start to the season. With their ability to knock down shots consistently, New York poses a significant threat to opposing defenses.

"If we can continue to shoot the ball like this, we're going to be tough to beat," said Barrett.

As the Knicks continue their season, they will need to maintain their shooting efficiency if they hope to maintain their position as a contender in the Eastern Conference. The team faces a challenging upcoming schedule, but their ability to score the ball will give them a chance to compete with any opponent.
