Giants Put Drew Lock In At QB With Eagles Up 28

The New York Giants have decided to start Drew Lock at quarterback for the remainder of the season, benching Daniel Jones after a dismal performance against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jones Struggles Against Eagles

Jones threw two interceptions and was sacked six times as the Giants fell to the Eagles 28-10. It was Jones' fifth game with multiple interceptions this season, and his 11 interceptions are the most by any quarterback in the NFL.

Lock Given the Nod

Giants coach Brian Daboll said he made the decision to start Lock after watching him play in practice. Lock has been with the Giants since August after being acquired from the Denver Broncos.

"Drew has shown us a lot in practice," Daboll said. "He's a smart quarterback, he's accurate, and he can make all the throws. We think he gives us the best chance to win."

Lock's Opportunity

Lock will get his first start for the Giants against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. It will be a big opportunity for Lock to prove himself as a starting quarterback in the NFL.

"I'm excited for the opportunity," Lock said. "I've been working hard all season, and I'm ready to show what I can do."

Outlook for Giants

The Giants are now 4-11 this season and have little chance of making the playoffs. However, Daboll said he believes Lock can help the Giants finish the season strong.

"We're going to finish the season with Drew as our starting quarterback," Daboll said. "We think he can help us win some games and get us ready for next season."
