Bennett completed 23 of 33 passes and had no interceptions. He also ran for 29 yards and a touchdown. His 459 passing yards are the most by a Georgia quarterback since Aaron Murray threw for 468 yards against Auburn in 2013.

The Georgia defense was dominant, holding Vanderbilt to just 164 yards of total offense. The Commodores were also held to 64 passing yards.
The win improved Georgia's record to 5-0 on the season and 2-0 in the SEC. Vanderbilt fell to 3-2 overall and 0-1 in the SEC.
Georgia will host Auburn next Saturday, October 8th, while Vanderbilt will host Northern Illinois on the same day.
"I'm really proud of our team," said Georgia coach Kirby Smart. "We played with a lot of energy and effort. Stetson had a great day, and our running game was really good."
"We're just not playing very well right now," said Vanderbilt coach Clark Lea. "We're making too many mistakes, and we're not executing our game plan."
